About the Man with the Plan
Howdy. My name is Rob. Its true, I just got engaged to Shell, my wonderful gf of five years!!! I graduated in May with my B.S. in History from SUNY Oneonta. I am currently attending the University at Albany for my M.S. in Adolescent Education with a concentration in Social Studies, and I am student teaching seventh graders at a local middle school.
The misses and I just moved into our apartment, which is just a bit outside of Albany. I posted up some pics of the new place.
Aside from school and work, I sit around, play video games, and yell at my cat. Thats my life.
What I Likes To Do
-Video Games:
Ive been playing video games since I got my first NES back in the day. Today, I love gaming, especially on my PS3 and Wii. I love to constantly be in the middle of a good RPG, and if I have no new ones, I will go back and play an old one. I am very happy with my new PS3, and have no regrets. Best decision I ever made. I also have a GBA for when Im gaming on the go. And speaking of which, both my phone and ipod have some games loaded on them too...
-Hockey:
I am an avid New York Rangers fan, since hockey is the only sport I can watch for more than 2 minutes without a commerical interruption or dying of boredom. Cant stand most other sports. Im excited to see the Rangers take on Colorado when I go to MSG in February.
I also enjoy running a fantasy hockey league during the season. I have three leagues this year...one private and two public.
Television/Movies:
I love laying on the couch, watching movies and television. I espicially enjoy watching old re-runs of the Fresh Prince, Home Improvement, and Family Matters before drifting off to bed. I also enjoy watching lame nature shows on NGC and Animal Planet or educational shows on the History Channel. Also, I love going to see the movies in theaters, and will see any new release that looks somewhat interesting to me.
We just got Netflix (again), so Im excited for even more movie watching. I love that you can watch movies and shows off the computer with Netflix nowadays.
Reading/Writing:
I also enjoy reading and occassionally writing. I love Stephen King, and have read the majority of his work. Loving history, I also like to read history books, mainly on early American history. I also write, and have a few stupid stories and screen plays floating around, which will never see the light of day.
Other:
I am beginning to get an interest in cooking, and have been experimenting with a crock pot and wok. Also, Shell and I have been playing tennis, and I think Im getting better at it each time. Oh, and I love sitting back and playing board games. Call it lame, but I call it awesome.
