My Food
I've always been big on cooking homemade meals. This espicially came true when I finally went away to college. Rather than live off frozen dinners, pizza, and fast food, I tended to cook for myself on a nightly basis. My fondness for cooking has recently jumped with the acquisition of my sister's crock pot. With this amazing device, I am beginning to cook some pretty awesome stuff. Below are some of my favorites.
Stir Fry
My wok fed me most of my senior semester of college. I would mix it up with beef, chicken, or pork, and used carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sugar snap peas, and egg, all topped with a nice teriaki sauce.
Pulled Pork
I place a nice pork roast in the crock pot, and then top it with my homemade BBQ sauce. I then let the whole thing cook for 9 hours. It comes out incredibly tender (it flakes like fish) and delicious.
BBQ Sauce
This sauce is still in the stages of being perfected. Personally, I prefer a nice sweet sauce. My first batch became overpowered by onion, garlic, and cumin, but my most current recipe is much better. My secret ingredient gives the sauce a nice contrasting "bite".
Chili
My chili is dynamite. I throw in pablano peppers with some red pepper and secret spices. I also used ground turkey meat instead of ground beef. Its tastetacular.
